On Nov. 25th the Office of Highway Safety kicked off its annual Safe Family Holiday campaign with a press event in the the Department of Public Safety Bldg, where OHS is located.  Here OHS Director Tricia Roberts welcomes everyone and introduces the speakers.

The Safe Family Holiday campaign is Delaware's safe travel campaign for the holidays.  It runs from Thanksgiving Week through New Year's.  

The three main messages of the campaign are Don't Drink & Drive, Always Buckle Up and Avoid Driving Aggressively.  Here MADD Delaware founder Dolly Banks lets the audience know that DUI Victims are not just numbers, they are real people whose lives have been cut short by impaired drivers.

Partners in the Safe Family Holiday Campaign include Div. of Motor Vehicle staff and administrators, as well as the Delaware SAFE KIDS Coalition.  The two ladies in the front are OHS staff members Linda Kouse and Bonnie Whaley who work to make the campaign a success.
